Large Multi National Electronics Manufacturing Group: (TT Electronics) Shevron acts as the strategic IT department for the group. We provide a breadth of resource which would be too costly to justify as an in-house operation. Our services are available to all the group companies (60+) at a rate agreed by the group who know the quality of service that will be delivered. We also advise on strategic group issues such as E-Commerce, CAD/CAM, Internet communications policy, IT purchasing policy and Capital Expenditure Assurance.

 

 

USA Division of a large UK based multi national electronics company: Working with the company teams in UK, USA, Far east and the EU to developing a common  requirements document for the selection of a new ERP system. Working at board level to co-ordinate this project to ensure that the final solution would meet the needs of all the companies involved and was realistically achievable. Developing the RFP and managing the selection and final negotiation process. (SAP, Oracle & JD Edwards considered)

 

 

Electronics/Automotive Conglomerate: Developing a strategy for E-Commerce within the group. Involving a detailed review of the current understanding of E-Commerce within the group and developing a strategy which reflected the changes to their industry and how to best respond to the demands of their customers for better, more cost effective electronic communication.

 

 

USA Division of a large UK based multi national electronics company: Working with the divisional team, acting as project support on the partner selection and project preparation for a large, multi site SAP implementation. The task developed into a 'project audit' role during the implementation.

Large Multi Site Manufacturer of Mechanical Fasteners, Metal Ceiling Tile Manufacturer, Electrical Ferrite Manufacturer in UK & USA, UPS and Power Filter Manufacturer + 6 other companies: Developed a full Statement of Business Requirements (SOR) for a new Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) system to replace existing non-integrated IT systems. Developed the business case and selected a 'fit for purpose' integrated solution from a number of potential suppliers. Assisted in them planning of the implementation to gain the most benefit at the best cost, assessing and planning against any risks.

 

 

A large multi national rail equipment manufacturing company (parts & Logistics): Review and realign a major multi site SAP project and advise on the success & failings of the large implementing consultancy. Restructure project plan and introduce new tools to solve an ongoing data integrity problem. Advice group directors on restructuring contract terms and possible financial damages should litigation be necessary.

 

 

(repair and Renovation): Advise on the updating of SAP to allow integration with other SAP versions on their sister company sites. Review  and recommend procedures for data cleansing resulting from a rushed SAP implementation 

 

 

Generator Set Manufacturing Group:Developed a full Statement of Business Requirements (SOR) for a new Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) system to replace existing non-integrated IT systems. Project manage the implementation of this new system and managed a project realignment when the company was reorganised during the implementation.

 

 

Large Producer of Glass Containers: Reviewed a long standing CAD/CAM project, refocusing Key Requirements and project managing the selection of a 'fit-for-purpose' CAD/CAM solution. Saved the client £60-80,000.Business Process review of the Sales department and their use of IT and recommendations on shortening the 'Time to Market'. Full review and redefinition of the sales process and the application of IT within the sales department. 

 

 

Manufacturer of Electrical Connectors: Reviewed the existing CIM system and presented the 'Benefits, Costs and Risks' of upgrading or changing the system in order that the client could make substantial savings on the final contract. Reviewed their CAD requirements and project managed the selection of a suitable solution saving the company over £40,000 and providing a better, lower risk solution.

 

 

Large Modular Building Company: To review the extensive use of CAD within the organisation and to plan its improvement in light of a new planned back office business system, 20-30% productivity expected within 6 months.

 

 

Major UK cable manufacturer: Project auditor for the group head office on a major BPCS V6 upgrade project.

 

 

Copper Wire Producer: Assessed the risks of implementing a fast track IT solution into a newly acquired company. Following this phase produced the fast track plan and developed the requirements document during the delivery of the main platform and cabling saving considerable time and money.

 

 

Distributor of Earth Moving and Agricultural Machines: Reviewed their business requirements in light of changing markets and the changing demands of the machine manufacturer. This allowed them to have a better choice of supplier thus avoiding a bespoke system.

 

 

Large Resistor and Hybrid Manufacturer: Reviewed their current system including issues which would arise from moving their bespoke system to a more generic solution. The project focused the Board on looking at their business processes first and then assessing the issues surrounding a system change.

 

 

Engineering Consultancy: Reviewed the 'paper' issues within the company. A strategy was developed to introduce a new CAD system with Drawing and Document Management. Email and Groupware were also introduced within the recommendations.

 

 

Large International Oil Exploration Company: Reviewed the company's Document Management and Records Management with a view to developing a strategy to provide faster and more accurate retrieval of this large and diverse mass of data and data types. This company also retains our services (10th year) to deal with any specialised graphics application problems within the exploration drawing office.
